When it comes to authentication, one theme that has emerged from recent cyber attacks is that many legacy forms of MFA just aren’t good enough. Attackers have caught with technology like one-time passwords (OTPs) and push-based apps, devising ways to easily phish them. CISA, OMB, and many other agencies have highlighted the need to move organizations to phishing-resistant authentication - such as that using the FIDO standards - that can block these attacks.
