About me
Rev. Ben Roberts joined Foundry United Methodist Church as Associate Pastor and Director of Social Justice Ministries in 2013. He was named Executive Director of Programs and Justice Ministries in 2022. A graduate of Greensboro College and Wesley Theological Seminary, he also completed the Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate program at Georgetown University.
In his present role, Ben oversees all program areas including the ID Ministry. The program assists low-income and unhoused neighbors as they navigate the application process and pay for vital documents like social security cards, birth certificates, and non-driver’s IDs. Over the last 12 years the ministry has grown from serving approximately 800 guests a year to over 2000. It is an all-volunteer operation other than one staff member.
